Ad Formats

Camera-Ready or Ad Copy Components
Please use the following formats when submitting camera-ready ads or ad components:

• Adobe Photoshop (.psd, .tif, .eps)
• Adobe Illustrator (.ai, .eps, .pdf)
• QuarkXPress (.qxd, .pdf)

These are the most common programs and formats used. Call us or ask your sales representative about additional file formats not listed above.

Although we prefer that all ads be submitted in digital format, you may also provide camera-ready ads or the desired components in the form of a high quality laser print or four-color print instead.

Guidelines For Specific Applications

QuarkXPress
Save your file in either .qxd or .pdf format. All fonts and images MUST be included with your document, and all fonts most be in PC format.

Adobe Illustrator
Always save your file in either .eps or .pdf format only. If you do not convert your text to outlines, than please include all relevant fonts along with your file. All such fonts must be in PC format. If you have any ad components that have been placed into your Illustrator file, be sure to include those files along with your document.

Adobe Photoshop
Ads created in Photoshop should be saved as .tif or .eps files only.

General Guidelines

To avoid additional production charges, your digital artwork dimensions must conform to our ad sizes (see your Dunndeal Publications rate card, or speak to your sales representative). All graphic elements should be saved in .tif or .eps format.

All photographic images submitted should have an absolute minimum resolution of 300dpi, and line art should be at a minimum of 500dpi.

Do not use images downloaded from the internet as these images have a resolution of only 72dpi or lower, which results in poor quality when commercially printed. We do not accept .jpg or .gif files for the purpose of ad copy component submissions.

All graphics and images must be provided in either CMYK or grayscale formats. If you are using PMS values, please include a separate proof with your PMS values and swatches on it. All grayscale ads must be set up to output as 1-color art, and no color specifications other than black should be applied to any type or graphic element.

Dunndeal Publications does not accept ad copy created in any non-graphics program. This would include, but is not limited to, Microsoft Word, Publisher, Powerpoint, or Works files.

Submitting Files

Sending a Disk
Dunndeal Publications accepts CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD, and ZIP disks formatted for PC only.

If you are submitting a camera-ready ad, please keep in mind that we require a hard copy proof along with your disk or given to your sales representative.

Label the disk with your business name, or create on the disk a folder that contains your files. Be sure to also list a contact name and phone number on the disk. Send your ad via courier to:
